Here are some tips and tricks (free video footage) of Cakewalk Sonar in action.

Cakewalk Sonar hs been out and about making music for a long time now. At every upgrade and version the software has just improved. So without further adue, lets have a look at what Sonar 6 and 7 can do:

Sonar 6 overview

How to use the mixing desk within Sonar 6

Sonar has got alot of sounds, just to make it different from an increasing populated and noisy crowd. So lets check out the synth rack

One of the synths that is featured within Sonar is the Groove Synth. So lets see how to get authentic Roland sounds from their classic synths with the Roland Groove Synth

The VC64 is "years and years" of vintage recording history crammed into a single plug-in. VC64 has 64-bit processing, 2 compressors, de-esser, noise gate, and alot more. Due to YouTube sound quality however, the plug-in is not highlighted properly.

By loading some vocals into Sonar we can do some vocal editing.

As a follow on from vocal editing, Sonar uses a plug-in called Roland V-Vocal, another vocal editing tool.

Part two of the vocal editing. This is advanced V-Vocal in Sonar.

Sonar 7 has some cool FL Studio type beat building. This is step-sequencing drum building.

If you have enjoyed these tips and tricks but think that Sonar is a bit costly, try out some of the cheaper music makers at the following link: Alternative Cakewalk Sonar music making software.
